Dirving directions are yet to be finalized, but in general, we will meet at 1:30 in the afternoon at the West Des Moines Library parking lot, probably by the pond..  We will take a meandering drive through the south of Grand neighborhoods to Grand Avenue then to Locust.  We will take Locust Avenue east to east first street and then take east first to Robert Ray Drive and the Botanical Center.  People are free to kick tires in the parking lot, see the Chinese Pavilion, walk across the new pedestrian bridge, and/or enter the Botanical Center (There is an entry fee) and see their new exhibits.  We will, after a time, leave the Botanical Center and go back to Grand.  We will take Grand to 42nd Street and take 42nd north through Beaverdale and on to our home in Johnston via Meredith and 70th and 54th Avenue into Green Meadows West.  When we get to our house we will have an early evening/late afternoon sandwich and refreshments and welcome home my recently restored first car (suitably British) and otherwise visit on our first driving event of 2014.

Our home is 6019 Blackstone Ct in Johnston.  Parking on the east bound side of Blackstone or the Westbound side of Windsor Parkway.  Windsor Parkway parked cars can enter the backyard through the gate.
